- Why should I get my trees trimmed?
Trimming a tree is like getting a hair cut. It is also to help the longevity of the trees life. There is also the safety of your family and home as well as your property (sheds, boats, power & cable lines). Getting tree limbs removed from over your home can also greatly affect the insurance costs to home owners
- How do I remove large, high limbs safely from over your home?
There are severely different ways to remove limbs safely. i mainly use ropes, blocks & tackles and using a variety of knots. Such as "Running Bowline", Half-Hitch", "Slipknot", "Square not", and of cores the "Dragging-Bowling". Any task can be safely performed, with proper rigging and a good understanding of practical science. Massive amounts of weight can be easily controlled, with proper rigging.
- What about those power lines??
As a climber I see a lot of trees in power lines. Some times when a home owner calls their local power companies they come out and trim the limbs adjacent to the lines. Occasionally the home owner wants more and that's where I come in. I use precise roping and well trained Ground Men.
- Why do I do this kind of work?
I started a long time ago in Callahan. My parents own an oak tree farm there. I was brought up using a chain saw & axe. My parents took me to pruning classes & workshops with them. So naturally when I got older it felt natural.
- Why is the industry so costly?
The main reason is because of the danger and skill involved. Dangerous is an expensive word to the insurance company. The cost is also greatly affected by total removal. To remove & dispose of the tree, involves moving great amounts of mass in the form of weight in the wood. Trees weight thousands of pounds disposal is based on weight and mass.
